Women’s rugby won loud and clear at the fifth edition of the Mérites sportifs régionaux, organised jointly by Région de Nyon, the Town of Gland and the City of Nyon, taking home three of the seven prizes awarded on the night.
« It shows the growth of rugby, but also the care taken to develop the women’s side. There’s real potential in the region, » said Alexandre Démétriadès, the town councillor responsible for sports in Nyon.
Well done to our Nyon Rugby Mermaids and Mermigans Rugby (team of the year), Alessia Philippe (female hope of the year) and Aurélie Lemouzy (personality of the year).
